Morning all, it's Thursday
I'm up early for my colonoscopy; earlier than I had expected because I kept getting up to go to the bathroom. So I finally just got up and took my shower. I think I'm all cleaned out head to toe and inside and out.
Did my taxes online last night but have to find a couple more records to finish them.
Hope all is well. Have to get dressed and wait for my ride. Have a good day. I'll catch up later.
Good luck, Eileen, with the colonoscopy. My doctor told me I was due for one the day I fell. So, I need to see my gastro doctor about getting one done as soon as my leg is healed.
Today is a blah day, and I have nothing special planned till tonight. Tonight is my Bible study at church. I enjoy the fellowship and teaching. It is very Spiritually growth oriented.
I hope everyone has a blessed day.
Huggles,
Trish

Im in the Starbucks parking lot waiting for my cousin to come. We have coffee almost everymorning.
I need to do a colonoscopy to but havent scheduled it yet.
I got a new Samsung Tablet from Verizon last month and I finaly figured it out!
I can run my Kindle on it so I took the fire back that stupid thing had major issues.
Nothibg else going on today. Carla
Third try to say hi. Internet connection not super today. Sober 479 days and so proud of me. Feeling OK, but digestion issues with these huge calcium and fish oil pills. Will check with pharmacy about other options.
Hope Eileen has a super peak scope. I was told to get one this year, interested in how her clean out went without that huge horrible drink. Have not had a scope since WLS.
Traveling bra on and ready to go. We have $1.45 off a gal of diesel from our Winn Dixie fuel perks so going to fill up our 150 gallon tanks today. Price here is $3.87 a gallon for diesel. Watching the prices creep up is so scary. I remember the prices of $5 while we were in Texas 5 years ago. It was horrid.
Clouding up today so we will forgo the pool and take care of business with a visit to the stores and chiropractor.
Enjoy the day all, hugs Monica
I am so proud of you! Addiction is a beast that lurks at every corner and you have been slaying that beast for 479 days! My son has 8 years sobriety from multiple addictions (beer, pot and cocaine), and I have just recently stopped worrying about relapse. He gives me his yearly medalion after each ceremony, and I treasure those medalions more than rubies and diamonds.
Here is the 411 on calcium and fish oil:
There are calcium chews, just make sure they are calcium CITRATE and NOT CARBONATE (that leaves out most chews you can get at the local drug store) Bariatric Advantage has great calcium citrate chews and losenges. Also, Citrical has "pettites" smaller pills, although you have to take more of them.
Krill oil or Mega Red pills are a lot smaller (about 1/3 the size). And Coromega has liquid fish oil in individual daily-dose foil packets (it tastes great). I prefer the pineapple, although the orange flavor is also good.
Imagine my shock when we traveled through Europe and gas was sold by the liter, but it came to about $7.00 per gallon. No wonder their cars are so small.
Have a great day,
Ciao,
Maria
Hope all is going well with everyone but for those who wish or need them prayers continue from our house upwards. He knows who you are.
We got rid of our cable package to save money now my internet works about 1/3 the time and of course usually not when I want to be on! UUUGGGGHHHH been a frustrating week!
Today is the first day we are sure our Tippy cat is gonna be all right after the dog attack last Sunday. We found the dog owners. They are more concerned about what we will do to protect our pet from attack again than about the harm the dogs did to tippy or about keeping them home.
They don't get it that our cat was confined to our back yard during the attack and their dogs were trespassing!
You can tell I am still frustrated! so I'm going to wish you all a happy Thurs and get on with my day!
Well, I'm back from the colonoscopy hell and it wasn't good ... I have to have a repeat one tomorrow. The prep wasn't good enough. I didn't start going until 9 p.m. and I thought I was cleared out enough, but I guess not. So now I have to drink the two gallons of salty gunk. Plus, having another day of clear liquid diet ... and I'm so hungry. How did I ever do two weeks of this?
Plus, I have to take a day off of work again. So I'm none too happy. I feel miserable enough as it is, and then to have to go through it all over again ... arrggh!
Well, just finished off a couple of jello cups. Seems like I should take a nap. I'm sleepy enough. Have a good day.
I didn't have to do the huge horrible gallon of stuff to drink. Instead, I told the doctor that I had a gastric band and he had me drink 2 little bottles of magnesium citrate. Not bad at all. Tasted like drinking a 7Up. I did have to fast for 2 days instead of 1 day, but that was worth it to me.
Busy morning around here. The carpet cleaning man finally made it out here to give me an estimate. Not too bad. Just $375 for cleaning the whole house and moving all the furniture. They're coming next Tuesday to do the job. Whew! I'll be glad to get that part behind me.
The floor tile guys are back again today, but they should finish up today. I'll be glad to have my bathroom back again. Boy, you should see how pretty and elegant the marble tiles look in the master bathroom! I'll post pics on FB when they leave. My master bath looks like a spa bath at a big hotel now.
I hope the home shows are right and that updating the bath and kitchen will help to sell this house! Still need to figure out what color to paint in the kitchen.
I need to go to the store today, but I guess I'm stuck here for awhile until the tile guys leave. That's okay. I'll spend my time looking at things to do in the Smoky Mountains. I'm getting excited about our trip! Got a little cabin reserved for a week in May. Got the plane tickets bought. Still need to rent a car. Hubby wants a jeep or something similar.
Well, hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Weekend's coming . . . Hang on!
Love you all!
Monica, I'm still so proud of you! Keep on keepin' on.
Trish, hope that leg is feeling lots better and you can get on with our life.
Jo, we have always been 'dog people' not 'cat people', but we never were irresponsible dog owners. It is a shame that some people don't get it. Seems to me if they were so concerned about the lengths YOU would go to protect your cat, they should me just as concerned about their dogs, like keeping them in their own yard!!
My DH and I had our first colonoscopies last year. They found and removed a couple polyps from my DH and told him to have another in 3 years. I was told I didn't need another one for 10 years. I think one was enough for both of us!
Well, this morning I experienced reason 432 why we would never live near Portland!! There was a bad accident on the way to take Brooke to school. The accident wasn't even on the route we took. Just on a road that fed into the 205! It took me a full hour to get her to school!! Normally a 20 min. drive for this old granny (about 15 for my daughter). I always leave a little early 'just in case'. I called the school and they said they had many calling in. She just had to stop at the office to let them know she was there. I called my daughter to see if there was any way I could get home without taking the 205. She said, not from there! Soo, back into the fray! Took me 45 min to get home! Brooke had suggested I go to Barnes and Noble, have some tea and wait it out. But, I just got back into the traffic. At least I wasn't trying to get to the airport to make a flight!! That's tonight!
I have had such I nice visit here. Only one child to get to and from school and practices. No one but the cat all day to cater too. Our daughter got off early a couple of days and we had some 'mother/daughter' time! Next year they won't need me at all. Both kids will have their licenses, and if both parents are out of town, they can probably fend for themselves at 18 and 16.
Soooo, back home on the red eye.
I e-mailed my patient coordinator and told her this sleeve doesn't work at all!! I have told them this before. Said I wished I could be banded again, because I KNOW that works! She said I should talk to one of the doctors because that might be an option. I already have $20,000 in this gut, I'm not investing more!!!! My daughter says I should tell them I'll do it if they pay for it! Oh well, I have lost 11 pounds on this funky diet me daughter is on. That will keep me motivated to lose more. That and my trip to the CMAs in Vegas in March.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!!!!
